Mona-Lisa was rescued from Hernando County Animal Services in Brooksville, FL in April 2023. She had been at the shelter for over 6 months with little to no medical care. She was morbidly obese, and had little to no ears- believed to be from a dog attack from her previous life, and her ears never healed correctly. She has difficulty turning her neck, and also difficulty using her back legs, and most days doesn't have much of an appetite.

Since coming to Love Life Animal Rescue, Mona is now vaccinated and dewormed, but due to her excessive weight is not yet a candidate for spay surgery. Mona will require x-rays of her spine, and a full veterinary work-up to determine the extent of her injuries, along with physical therapy and medication to manage her pain.
